Such tea houses and gardens should have an hourly rental rate for special occasions, such as a wedding ceremony. A traditional Western chapel is also a possibility, although a wedding of this kind would be more of a hybrid of Eastern and Western cultural concepts.

Costumes

The wedding participants' attire is likely the most important aspect of making a properly convincing Japanese style wedding. A bride wears an elaborate and wonderfully elegant costume in a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony. This is one of the primary reasons many brides may actually choose to have a Japanese wedding ceremony. Both bride and groom wear a kind of traditional Japanese outfit known as a kimono. This is a ceremony that is apparently growing in popularity in Japan, at least according to Japanese media. The basic concept is that the bride and groom participate in a traditional ceremony and their sharing of a single bowl of tea seals the wedding vows as they now drink from one conceptual cup!
