Rock And Roll Wedding Themes

Rock and roll has long been part of the music industry. If you are an avid fan of rock and roll music, then you should consider the many rock and roll wedding themes for your very own special day. A great way to experience a strong blast from the past is to go with a 1960’s wedding theme.
Why the 1960’s in particular? This is because the 60’s is the decade when good ol’ rock ‘n roll started making waves. This was the time when love-beads laced the fashion industry and the peace sign was considered a household sign. To get in touch with that spirit of 60’s rock and roll, it is better to go with tie-dyed colors of pastel shade. Pink, blue, purple, yellow, green, and orange are great shades for this theme.
The bride should not wear just the traditional wedding gown at all. What’s best here is to go with a Chantilly lace wedding dress. The dress should be short to match the go-go boots and the pill-box hat that come with the getup. The pill-box hat should come with face netting as well. Don’t forget the gloves as well! To top it all off, the bride should have a bouquet of chrysanthemums or daisies. For the lovely bridesmaids, mini-skirts should definitely be considered. Long skirts can also be used, but make sure these skirts have flowing cuts. For the top, peasant blouses and love-beads for adornments can be included. You can also consider including granny glasses, crocheted vests, and perhaps, daisy wreath headbands. The bridesmaids can then carry bouquets of wildflowers or baskets of daisies.
The groom and his groomsmen should not feel left out with the velvet jackets and bell-bottom pants they will be wearing. Fringed or beaded vests can also be used in place of velvet jackets, depending on the preferences of the group. Granny glasses, beaded headbands, and moccasins make great additions as well. The finishing touch, for the groom in particular, can be a necklace bearing a wooden peace sign.
Since the invitations are the first physical things your guests would see pertaining to your wedding, then you should also exert a little effort there. You can use an image of a record album cover that topped the charts in the 60’s. You can also go with a 45 rpm record instead. Make sure to include a lot of happy faces, peace symbols, daisies and endless fields of wildflowers.
All these and more can be incorporated into rock and roll wedding themes. Just focus on the things that express just how carefree that decade was not too long ago.
