Twilight Wedding Theme

If you're looking to create a truly romantic wedding day, look no further than with a Twilight themed wedding. Based on the international best-selling Twilight series of books by author Stephanie Meyer, the enduring romance between Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen can serve as the perfect inspiration for your own special day.
Setting the mood for your Twilight themed wedding starts with the stationery. As the Cullen family is near-royalty in the vampire world, your invitations should be formal and classic. Think of script fonts printed on high quality paper, featuring cream, burgundy, brown or other rich colors. To inform guests about the Twilight theme of your wedding without going overboard, add a simple image of an apple to your save the date cards and invitations.
Once the save the date cards have been mailed, you'll want to start thinking about other elements of your wedding and how you can incorporate your Twilight wedding theme into all of them. First, consider your venue. The best place to hold a Twilight themed wedding would be a wooded location that will allow you to hold the ceremony, reception or both outside. If you aren't able to find a suitable wooded location, any facility that offers nature views will suffice.
Next up, you'll need to start thinking about your dress. Although Bella isn't transformed into a vampire until after her wedding, there's no reason that you can't incorporate a little vampire glamour into your gown choice! When it comes to silhouettes, look for something simple, yet elegant - possibly a gown that's fitted in the bodice and then sweeps out into a dramatic train. A deep red sash or red beading on the gown can add to the rich feel of your look. And remember, vampires in the Twilight universe sparkle, so don't forget a little bling!
Be sure to carry this Twilight theme over to your bridesmaids' dresses and your groomsmens' tuxes as well. Deep red is the best choice for dresses and vests, although the other rich colors mentioned above – including cream and brown – are also good choices.
When it comes to flowers, you have a couple of different options. Deep red or burgundy roses could obviously fit the bill, but you should also consider the ruffled tulips found on the cover of the New Moon book. Alternatively, if neither of these options suits your own personal style, you could incorporate more tropical flowers that mimic those that would be found on Isle Esme - the scene of Bella and Edward's honeymoon.
You'll also want to think about the decor of your Twilight theme wedding, as your centerpieces and other decorations can be a great way to capture the mood of your favorite novels. For your linens, think like a Cullen and choose rich, expensive-looking fabrics. Your centerpieces can contain any of the flowers described above or - in a nod to the first Twilight novel - consider decorations that incorporate real or faux apples dusted with glitter.
Finally, consider incorporating quotes from the Twilight novels into your wedding. The following romantic sayings can be used in your vows, in other elements of your ceremony, on your place cards or printed on red ribbons used throughout your decor:
"You are the most important thing in my life now. The most important thing ever."
"You are my life now."
"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb."
With a few carefully considered touches, your Twilight theme wedding can sparkle with all the glamour of the vampire world, leaving you center stage in your very own fairy tale romance.
